The Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center at Florida International University is co-sponsoring the 2023 Global Summit on Disinformation organized by the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) and the Mistrust Project (Proyecto Desconfío) of Argentina. The Summit will be held on September 27 and 28 in a virtual format and is open to the public

The five thematic axes of the Summit are electoral disinformation; building effective verified content distribution strategies; building news quality indicators; verification in the age of Generative Artificial Intelligence, and media literacy in the age of Tik-Tok.
