This event brings together law enforcement agencies, industry, and academia to share knowledge and training for laboratory professionals.This year’s theme is “Think Globally, Act Locally” to highlight how researchers and scientists address universal issues in their own research and working laboratories.

Keynotes and plenaries will be presented in-person at FIU's College of Law from June 4-5, as well as livestreamed via Zoom. All section presentations will be presented virtually via Zoom on June 6-7.

Registration is now open at go.fiu.edu/symposiumregistration - in-person or all-virtual tickets are $50, and will include six months of on-demand access to recorded presentations. Please email forensics@fiu.edu for more information on group registration.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
