Join us in celebrating the 20th annual Breakfast in the Park. Each year since 2004, as an official event during Art Basel Miami Beach, the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum has welcomed visitors to enjoy a complimentary breakfast, a lecture by a noted artist, and guided tours of the Sculpture Park.

This year’s Breakfast in the Park celebration features a special Art Week edition of the Steven and Dorothea Green Critics' Lecture Series with Malawian artist Billie Zangewa, whose work is on view in her solo exhibition titled Field of Dreams at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum FIU and newly appointed chief curator Natalia Zuluaga. This year's conversation will take place at 10:15 in our classroom and a simulcast will be available to watch on the terrace. Breakfast will be served on the terrace immediately following the presentation. Seating for the presentation is limited and is available on first-come-first-serve basis.

This event is free and open to the public thanks to our Presenting Partner, West Kendall Baptist Hospital. Additional thanks to the Green Family Foundation for its support of the Steven and Dorothea Green Critics' Lecture Series. Support for this event is provided by our gold level sponsors.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
