The Stryker Joint Replacement division continues to drive above market performance through strict focus on investment in key technology pillars and top talent to support long-term growth in leading orthopaedic patient care solutions that are not only differentiated but that also offer clear economic advantage over competitive offerings. Three pillars have been constants for fueling growth and spinning off innovative product lines; Additive manufacturing, Advanced image analytics, Robotic Arm-assisted technology.

Shawn M. Kroll, Vice President of Robotics Development, started his career with Stryker Corporation 17 years ago as a Manufacturing Support Staff Engineer where he oversaw critical processes for Hip implant manufacturing such as hydroxylapatite synthesis and robotic thermal coating applications, and over the next 15 years he came full circle from working with robots that helped him to developing robots that help patients and surgeons.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
