A Community Family Day

🥁🪇Join us on Saturday, July 18 from 10 AM—2 PM for our annual Family Day! The Frost Art Museum and The Wolfsonian invite you to enjoy a fun-filled day of art, music, hands-on activities, and community, inspired by our current exhibitions: “Invitation to Openness” and “David C. Driskell & Friends: Creativity, Collaboration, and Friendship.”

Featuring:
〰️ A craft-making workshop with artist Morel Doucet
〰️ Storytelling + musical performance by Mr. Jams 
〰️ Community drumming with MiamiBloco
〰️ Printmaking + make-your-own instrument stations

This collaborative family day is supported by the Batchelor Foundation, the Tamara L. Harris Foundation, the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Family Fund, the Seligman Family Foundation, the Green Family Foundation, the FIU Center for Children and Families, the Children’s Trust Parent Club, and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
