We will have a colloquium talk by Prof. Julian Edward in the 1st week of the Fall semester. It will take place on Thursday, August 29, at 3:45 pm, in DM409A. The title is “An Integration by Parts Formula for the Spectral Fractional Laplacian, with Application to Well-Posedness and Boundary Controllability for the Beam Equation with Structural Damping.” The abstract is attached. This talk should be accessible to both faculty and graduate students.
