Approaches to Migration, Asylum, and Race in Europe and Beyond

This is a past event.

Tuesday, February 21 at 9:00am to 4:00pm

MARC - Management & Advanced Research
11200 SW 8th ST, Management & Advanced Research, Miami, Florida 33199

Presented by Miami-Florida Jean Monnet Center of Excellence

Over the past two decades, there has been a growing debate about issues related to migrants and refugees across the borders of Europe. The so-called “refugee crisis” in 2015 and the massive number of Ukrainians who fled their country after the Russian invasion in 2022 have intensified the discussions and added layers of complexity to the situation. Join the conversation as we address migration, asylum, and race in Europe and beyond from local, regional, and global perspectives, including theoretical and historical context, policy and legal development, and civil society responses.
