DESCRIPTION:Paul Alan Wetter\, M.D.\, is a physician\, surgeon and innovato
 r known for his pioneering work in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. 
 He performed some of the earliest advanced laparoscopic procedures in North
  America and has led efforts to advance surgical education\, technology and
  patient safety worldwide.  \n\nDr. Wetter founded the Society of Laparosco
 pic and Robotic Surgeons and now serves as its chairman emeritus. He is a c
 linical professor emeritus at the University of Miami Miller School of Medi
 cine. \n\nDr. Wetter and Janis Chinnock Wetter recently donated a 2\,536-sq
 uare-foot medical office suite located across from the emergency room at Ba
 ptist Health South Miami Hospital. With this space\, the Herbert Wertheim C
 ollege of Medicine plans to launch a brick-and-mortar pilot facility for ou
 r community-engaged Green Family Foundation NeighborhoodHELP program. The f
 acility will serve as a hub for care coordination\, connecting patients wit
 h services and resources\, while also providing a safe setting for essentia
 l support services\, such as behavioral health sessions and clinical rotati
 on opportunities for our medical students and residents.\n\nREGISTER HERE\n
