AIRIE, Artists in Residence in Everglades, is holding an ecologically inspired celebration of art, music, and theater to raise awareness and support for AIRIE's programs, exhibits, public outreach, and workshops.

AIRIE brings the arts together with science and environmentalism. Join us at the Kampong to enjoy specially curated wines, craft cocktails, and delicious treats, along with music and performance in one of South Florida's most unique botanical settings.

AIRIE is a non-profit whose mission is to inform, connect and support artists, writers, musicians, composers and choreographers by providing a one-month live/work residency in Everglades National Park where artists engage with scientists, park rangers and educators to enhance their experience and understanding of this subtropical wilderness. Armed with this increased understanding of the Everglades, AIRIE Fellows use their talents to advocate for the protection and preservation of this unique and fragile land.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
