In advance of Hello Gorgeous: The Exhibition about the life of Barbra Streisand, join the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU for a hands-on workshop on polymer clay jewelry.
Together, we’ll create one-of-a-kind wearable pieces we encourage you to wear to our opening members-only exhibition reception on Thursday, October 14!
This workshop is suitable for all crafty people and does not require any previous experience with working with polymer clay or jewelry making. All materials, light bagel brunch & FREE parking will be provided. Please reserve your spot by August 30.
About the Instructor: Carol Haggiag is a metalsmith and jewelry maker based in Miami Beach, Florida. Drawing inspiration from her surroundings, Haggiag’s multimedia works bring together organic forms, unconventional materials and contemporary techniques to create bold, one of a kind wearable art pieces. Her works have also been displayed at White Cube Gallery, Dot Fiftyone Gallery, House of Art Gallery, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami. Haggiag is a member of the South Florida Goldsmith Society and has partaken in workshops and courses at Penland School of Crafts, the Armory Art Center, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, among others.
