As of January 1, 2024, the bipartisan Corporate Transparency Act requires many companies doing business in the United States to report information about the individuals who ultimately own or control them. The law was passed to curb illicit finance and protect U.S. national security.

 

The Corporate Transparency Act requires many companies doing business in the United States to report information to the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) about who ultimately owns or controls them. Join a FinCEN representative for this informative session on the BOI reporting requirements, exemptions, how and where to file your report, and a walk-through of the filing process.
