 iwan will be presenting at FIU's MMC Campus.\n\nAbout the Seminar:\n\nIn t
 he COVID-19 pandemic\, rapid\, specific and sensitive sensing platforms ar
 e highly desired. The binding pair of biomolecules (virus antigen and its 
 binding molecules) isolation is the vital step for these systems. By combi
 ning molecular biology\, biochemistry\, and thermodynamics self-organizati
 on/assembly processes\, novel functional biomaterials for virus-sensing pu
 rposes have been synthesized. Furthermore\, a flexible surface-active Pd n
 ano-thin-film (NTF) electrochemical electrode has been developed by the pu
 lse DC sputtering process. The Pd NTF contained unique nanostructures on i
 ts surface\, which made bio-molecules bound to the working electrode direc
 tly. By using this sensing system both virus and their interaction-modulat
 ing drugs can be detected/screened. \n\nThe seminar is co-sponsored by the
