Join us for an engaging book presentation by the authors of A Handbook of Latinx Art, the first anthology to illuminate the rich, deep and often-overlooked contributions Latinx artists have made to art in the United States. The presentation will take place at FIU’s Frost Art Museum.

Following the talk, the evening continues in the Green School Gallery at SIPA I with dinner, drinks and live performances. On view is Haiti Through Two Eyes, an exhibition featuring the work of longtime friends and collaborators Edouard Duval-Carrié and Carl Philippe-Juste. The evening will be soundtracked by DJ Mack, with a special performance by the Nancy St. Léger Dance Ensemble.

Dinner will be served.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
