Title A Brief History of Statistics and its applications

Abstract This talk will cover a brief history of statistics from the 17th century to present. It will cover three eras of statistics: non-inferential statistics (Era 1), inferential statistics (Era 2) and present and future of statistics (Era 3). Notable statisticians and their contributions will be highlighted. Applications of statistics in different fields will be outlined.  Finally, what I know, what I have learned, and what I believe will be presented with 95% confidence.
