The Jack D. Gordon Institute will be hosting a panel discussion on environmental crimes in Latin America & the Caribbean on Thursday, March 9th | 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM in CBC 152. The panel discussion will include Andrea Crosta - Director of Earth League International, Odean Serrano - Chief of Geospatial Intelligence at Earth League International and will be moderated by Leland Lazarus - Associate Director of National Security Policy Program.

This discussion will cover topics such as shark fin trade, contributing to the 70% decline in shark population since the 1970’s and leading to ½ of the global shark population at risk of extinction; jaguar poaching and parts trafficking; human smuggling and trafficking; and money laundering.
