Maria Goytisolo Hackley is the Global Co-Head of the Industrials Group within Citi’s Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory since 2016. She manages an origination team focused on developing global relationships with industrial clients, particularly related to corporate finance transactions. She is actively involved in Citi Women’s retention, development, and promotion initiatives. Most recently, in 2020, American Banker named Maria as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance, and Latino Leadership magazine named her one of the Top 100 Most Influential Latinas.

Joe Zubizarreta (conversant) is CasaCuba’s campaign advisor and an accomplished industry veteran with a wealth of experience and passion for all things advertising. Over the past 30+ years, Joe has helped to build stronger, more successful brands for Fortune 500 companies including Ford Motor Company, J.P. Morgan Chase, Dunkin’ Donuts, American Airlines, Walgreens, S.C. Johnson, Pizza Hut, the J.M. Smucker Co. and Mars, Incorporated.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
