CRI Panel Discussion: Cuba's Israel Policy From 1948 to Present
Wednesday, November 20, 2024 7pm
About this Event
View map Free EventThe Communist regime in Cuba has long maintained a foreign policy that opposes the State of Israel and supports a Palestinian State. During the decades under Soviet tutelage, Cuba’s policy was a carbon copy of the Kremlin’s, but after the Soviet collapse in 1991 the same official rhetoric persisted. Even after the fateful events of October 7, 2023, the Diaz-Canel regime continues to espouse a blatant one-sided policy in support of the enemies of Israel. How much of this policy is dictated by ideological commitment? Does antisemitism play a role?
