Dr. Andrew Denson will be presenting his lecture, “Transforming Sites of Memory in the Native South.” Denson is a Professor of History at Western Carolina University and author of Demanding the Cherokee Nation: Indian Autonomy and American Culture and Monuments to Absence: Cherokee Removal and the Contest Over Southern Memory.
