About this Event
FIU’s Stempel College, ranked by US News & World Reports in the top 50 public health programs among public universities, houses the Academy for International Disaster Preparedness and its Master’s in disaster management, which prepares disaster responders with the leadership, management, and critical thinking skills needed to tackle the challenges faced during natural or man-made disasters:
- We offer an interdisciplinary curriculum that culminates with a disaster field operations course, a multi-day field-simulation disaster exercise
- We offer flexible program options: in-person Saturday classes, or fully online
- Our state-of-the-art curriculum is one-of-a-kind, focusing on the following topics and more:
