Jichun Xie, Ph.D., serves as an associate professor with joint appointments in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics and the Department of Mathematics at Duke University. She co-directs the statistical and computational division at the Center for Human Systems Immunology. Her research focuses on developing innovative computational tools to analyze complex cellular heterogeneity and characterize cells, as well as cellular and intercellular activities. Her work primarily applies to cancer, aging, and neurodegenerative diseases. Xie has published in leading journals across statistics, computer science, and genomics. She is also a standing member of the Genomics of Health and Disease (GHD) study section at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
