DESCRIPTION:Jichun Xie\, Ph.D.\, serves as an associate professor with join
 t appointments in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics and th
 e Department of Mathematics at Duke University. She co-directs the statisti
 cal and computational division at the Center for Human Systems Immunology. 
 Her research focuses on developing innovative computational tools to analyz
 e complex cellular heterogeneity and characterize cells\, as well as cellul
 ar and intercellular activities. Her work primarily applies to cancer\, agi
 ng\, and neurodegenerative diseases. Xie has published in leading journals 
 across statistics\, computer science\, and genomics. She is also a standing
  member of the Genomics of Health and Disease (GHD) study section at the Na
 tional Institutes of Health (NIH).\n\nLunch will be provided.\n\nRSVP HERE
