Dream in Green: Green Schools Challenge

This is a past event.

Saturday, February 25 at 9:00am to 1:00pm

PCA - Paul Cejas Architecture Building, 140
11200 SW 8th ST 33199, Paul Cejas Architecture Bldg, Miami, Florida 33199

The competition explores sustainable design solutions for sites throughout Miami Dade and is an excellent opportunity for LAA students to share their design, leadership, and mentorship skills in what is a consistently rewarding experience and community collaboration.

As student mentors, you would provide guidance to participating high school teams throughout key moments in their process. We are conscious of your many commitments as students, and the program is designed with that in mind–for maximum impact while being respectful of your time.

We will be hosting the final presentations by the high school teams at FIU this year and the event brings together city government representatives, non-profits, professional firms, faculty, and students.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
