Bio: Dr. Steven Starrett was with the Department of Civil Engineering at Kansas State University from 1994 to 2017, and from 2012 to 2017 was director of the Honor and Integrity System Office of the Provost at Kansas State.  
 
In 2017 he was the president of the Environmental and Water Resources Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) and for five years was on the Governing Board that set policies for the 25,000-member professional society.  In 2017 the ASCE gave Dr. Starrett the Professional Practice Ethics and Leadership Award for his leadership in advancing the ability of thousands of engineers to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public through the engineering ethics graduate courses and workshops he has presented worldwide.
