 place in person in GC 150 and via Zoom Webinar.\n\nThe Venezuelan president
 ial elections will be held on July 28\, 2024\, and Nicolás Maduro will face
  the biggest electoral challenge since he took office in 2013. After the di
 squalification of María Corina Machado from running for president\, diploma
 t Edmundo González Urrutia\, nominated by the largest opposition coalition 
 is Maduro's main opponent in these elections.  All the polls clearly indica
 te that the Venezuelan people are eager to vote\, making the upcoming presi
 dential elections a key political moment.\n\nWhat are the challenges that t
 he democratic opposition will have to overcome during these elections to ma
 terialize the Venezuelan people's will for political change? Do these elect
 ions present a real opportunity for the reestablishment of democracy and th
 e rule of law in Venezuela? Is the normalization of Venezuela's relations w
 ith the United States and the international community possible? A panel of 
 experts will discuss the upcoming presidential elections in Venezuela and a
 nswer these and other important questions.
