DESCRIPTION:Janvier Gasana\, M.D. is a professor of Occupational and Enviro
 nmental Medicine and the founder and chair of the Global Applied Preventio
 n Center (GAPCI) in Pembroke Pines. Originally from Rwanda\, Gasana studie
 d\, practiced medicine\, and served as chair of the Department of Environm
 ental and Occupational Health at the University of Rwanda. He earned both 
 his Master of Public Health and Ph.D. in Environmental and Occupational He
 alth from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. G
 asana played a key role in establishing the Department of Environmental an
 d Occupational Health at Florida International University Robert Stempel C
 ollege of Public Health & Social Work and at Kuwait University\, where he 
 also served as the founding chair and director of the Master of Public Hea
