Virtual EventThis hour-long Zoom lecture series features public sector leaders discussing contemporary challenges and sharing insight into their leadership and professional development experience and will include an interactive Q&A with students.
John E. Pate is the youngest chief administrative officer (city manager), director of public safety, and chief of police in the history of Village of University Park. Pate has transformed 89 staff members into an award-winning staff. All throughout his career serving the public in positions, such as a police inspector and special agent, he has yielded 180° transformation in staffing issues and reduced compliance violations from 97% to 36%.
He is known for succeeding in environments with major challenges and resolving them through change management and organizational restructuring. In doing so, he focus on major areas, such as staff leadership, public safety and security, and community policing.
