The Fall 2019 Talent Lab Cohort, consisting of FIU students and recent graduates with a Washington, D.C. internship this semester, have the unique and exclusive opportunity to start their capital experience with a full-day leadership development workshop and orientation at the Fred W. Smith Library for the Study of George Washington at Mount Vernon.

The session will include:

  • A moring discussion on George Washington's leadership style and strategies
  • An interactive decision-making simulation
  • A discussion of practical application of Washington's leadership lessons to students' current internship experiences
  • A "DC 101" presentation by FIU in DC focused on the capital ecosystem: branches of federal government, think tanks, and more
  • Tour of George Washington's Mount Vernon estate and library.

All FIU students and recent graduates with an internship in Washington, D.C. this semester should onboard to the Talent Lab Cohort at in order to not miss out on this incredible opportunity.
