Imposter Syndrome is the feeling that you are a fraud because you cannot grasp or believe in your successes. Thousands of students across America deal with feelings of phoniness, believing that they are not intelligent, capable or creative despite evidence of high achievement.

Discuss the impact of imposter syndrome on minority students and brainstorm solutions. Have you ever had the feeling that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be? Do you assume all of your classmates are smarter and more accomplished than you?

Join us at the 2019 FEA Spring Panel for a conversation with education professionals about Imposter Syndrome. Use this link to learn about our panelists. RSVP at FEA.FIU.EDU

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
