We invite you to join us and learn about an exciting pilot project funding opportunity for early stage investigators at FIU who are committed to conducting research on health disparities. Pilot project grants are up to $50,000. Five awards will be available (most will be funded for 1 year and one will be funded for up to 2 years) for this upcoming 2023-2024 cycle.

Early stage investigators including postdoctoral fellows, assistant professors or equivalent, who have not previously been a PI on R or K funding from NIH, are strongly encouraged to attend.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
