Join us for the upcoming FIU-RCMI Research in Progress Seminar, SCAN360: A Web Platform for Studying Cancer, HIV and Other Diseases Across Florida, facilitated by Dr. Raymond Balise.

SCAN360 is a user-friendly tool which allows researchers, policymakers and community leaders to visualize and summarize disease burden along with protective and risk factors for hundreds of communities across the state. Dr. Raymond Balise will demonstrate the utility of the website and discuss its growth from a tool for understanding the disease burden around the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center into a tool for studying disease and health disparities across the state.

The meeting will be held virtually; Zoom login information will be provided upon RSVP

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
