Experience the monumental power of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, a timeless masterpiece that celebrates unity, hope, and the human spirit through music. Featuring the iconic “Ode to Joy,” this unforgettable work comes to life through the combined forces of the FIU Symphony Orchestra, FIU Choirs, and Encantus Voices, with proceeds benefiting student scholarships at The Wertheim.

The performance is conducted by Javier José Mendoza, with choral forces prepared by their musical directors: Erynn Millard (FIU Concert Choir), Alicia Romero-Sardiñas (FIU University Singers), and Maibel Troia (Encantus Voices). Together, these ensembles bring extraordinary scale, clarity, and emotional depth to one of the most ambitious works in the classical repertoire.

Vocal soloists Laura León, soprano; Katherine Goeldner, mezzo-soprano; Carlos Silva, tenor; and Juantomás Martínez Yépez, baritone add brilliance and expressive intensity to Beethoven’s visionary score.

Bold, uplifting, and unforgettable, this performance of Beethoven’s Ninth is more than a concert—it’s a shared experience. Whether you’re a longtime classical music enthusiast or hearing this masterpiece for the first time, this is a night that invites you to listen, reflect, and celebrate together.
