The Office of the Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Officer of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is pleased to invite you to the second annual USAID Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI)/LatinX Conference and Career Expo, Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger World, from October 18-20, 2022. The first two days will be fully virtual, and the third and final day will be both virtual and in-person at the Wolfe University Center located at Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay Campus.

Visit the event site now to learn about the $15,000 prize for the IDEA Case Competition sponsored by USAID and PepsiCo Foundation Global development needs your voice! Responses must be submitted by noon ET on Tuesday, October 11.

This event will bring together students, alumni, faculty and administrators from HSI, as well as other members and friends of the Hispanic/LatinX community to learn about USAID, careers in international affairs, and how to build new partnerships. Speakers will include members of USAID senior leadership, staff, and guests from the public and private sectors. Sessions will include:

  • Resume writing workshop and advice on starting your career at USAID;

  • Certified trainings for faculty, staff, students and alumni;

  • Fundamentals of foreign assistance and partnering with USAID;

  • A highlight of the work between an HSI and USAID;

  • Networking, professional development, and more!

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses.
