FIU in DC: 'Dedicated' Author Talk with Pete Davis

This is a past event.

Monday, September 27 at 6:00pm to 7:00pm

FIU in DC
601 New Jersey Ave NW Suite 730 Washington, D.C. 20001

The official reading for Fall 2021 DC interns is 'Dedicated' by Pete Davis.  In the book, as well as in his viral Harvard graduation speech, Pete argues for young people to join the "counterculture of commitment," dedicating themselves long-term to "particular places, professions, and causes," rather than scrolling through life like a streaming service or dating app. Pete, based in Falls Church, VA, is also the cofounder of the Democracy Policy Network, a state policy organization focused on raising up ideas that deepen democracy.

Want to meet Pete? This is a hybrid event, taking place at FIU in DC, and virtually.  Open to FIU students and alumni including current, former, and prospective DC interns.
