Diplomacy in the DC Corridor

Be a part of the 900+ university students from around the world who come to the U.S. capital and participate in discussions of issues at the forefront of international relations. NMUN•DC offers eight simulated UN committees and procedural rules developed with UNITAR. The conference features smaller committee sizes than our New York conference, a crisis simulation in the Security Council, and briefings by distinguished speakers from the Washington, DC diplomatic community. Delegations may also arrange briefings at nearby embassies or extend their stay to visit national museums and monuments.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
