Please join FIU's College of Arts, Sciences & Education for Women Students in Science - Celebrate, Inspire, Encourage on Thursday, March 11, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. This event will be led by the new CASE Director for Women in STEMM Initiative, Dr. Yesim Darici. She has nearly 50 years of experience in the field, as a student, a professor, and other roles in the STEM fields.

This discussion is all about YOU - preparing you for success and providing tips on how to broaden your horizons! We are calling on you to identify the roadblocks within science fields for female students. We want to hear your concerns and opinions, the difficulties you may have, and how we can help give you the proper resources to overcome them.

Let's investigate all the opportunities that are available to you and how we can work together to ensure FIU's women in science have the means for success. We are here to Celebrate, Inspire and Encourage you!

If you would like to attend the College of Arts, Sciences and Education Women Students in Science - Celebrate, Inspire, Encourage, please register for the event.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
