 d community health at the University of Kansas Medical Center and a consul
 tant medical epidemiologist with the Kansas Department of Health and Envir
 onment. An internationally recognized tobacco control researcher\, Faseru 
 focuses on integrating evidence-based tobacco treatment into health care s
 ystems and community settings. He directs the Kansas Tobacco Treatment Spe
 cialist Training Program and leads initiatives that expand smoking cessati
 on capacity among public health\, health care and school professionals. A 
 fellow of the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco\, Faseru has au
 thored numerous peer-reviewed publications and contributes to national and
  global efforts to advance tobacco dependence treatment and population hea
