Join us for a panel discussion on the evolution of the Haitian Creole language from Independence (1804) to the modern days. Both the language and its writing system have undergone many difficult steps towards the officialr ecognition of their uniqueness in defining/representing Haiti and Haitians.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses.
