Please join us for an afternoon of family friendly programming as we build our museum’s physical and digital collections!

We invite you and your loved ones to help us fill gaps in the JMOF-FIU collection so that we can better represent our community, our past, and our present. Bring your old photographs, artifacts, objects, memorabilia, and stories to share with us. Examples of what we are looking for include: historic ritual objects, artifacts or ephemera related to Sephardic/Mizrahi communities, LGBTQ+ experience among other topics. We will also be collecting oral histories that connect to Florida’s Jewish history and our mission.

If you are unable to attend the event and have items that you want evaluated for a possible donation, or for additional information, contact JMOF-FIU Curator Jacqueline Goldstein (jacgolds@fiu.edu). Visit our website atwww.jmof.fiu.edu for a list of donation suggestions.

History Harvest is presented by the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU and the Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab as part of the project Community Data Curation: Preserving, Creating, and Narrating Everyday Stories. Funding for this program is provided through a grant from the Mellon Foundation.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
