FIU- College of Business, R233 11200 SW 8th Street, Miami, Fl 33199

Did you know that Florida ranks #3 in the nation for reported cases of human trafficking? Our very own county of Miami-Dade has the highest reported cases in all of Florida. Did you know that many instances of human trafficking are the result of misleading friendships or family members in desperate situations?

The volunteers of ASEZ (Save the Earth from A to Z) have organized this eye-opening forum to bring to light the long-time presence of human trafficking in our local neighborhoods and around the globe. The forum will feature a panel of community leaders, local law enforcement, and human trafficking activists that will educate and equip us to be a part of the efforts against this heinous crime.

ASEZ is the international university student volunteer group of the World Mission Society Church of God. Their global volunteer work is designed to align with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a "blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future." This forum is a step towards SDG #16 to "promote peaceful and inclusive societies".

We often feel that a global issue is far from us until it comes knocking on our door and it's too late. The ASEZ volunteers invite you to please RSVP and join in on this forum. Awareness is the first leap towards meaningful progress and change.
