At the virtual Inspiración UR Inspiration Symposium 2023, undergraudate students will learn how to share unique research talents and projects with the public, with research professors and with fellow students. UR Inspiration offers workshops in English and Spanish on how to create effective research posters, how to conduct powerful oral presentations, and how to tell compelling research stories. You will learn foundational research skills, including information literacy and how to overcome the imposter syndrome.

Students who participate online in the UR Inspiration Symposium are also invited to present their research at the fully virtual Inspiración UR Inspiration Conference, to be held on April 5, 2023. During this conference, you will be able to present your research poster, oral presentation or research story, and gather feedback from university educators and researchers. You will also engage with other student and faculty researchers through roundtable discussions and panel presentations.  If you sign up for the UR Inspiration Symposium, you will have priority acceptance for the UR Inspiration Conference.

Inspiración UR Inspiration is co-sponsored by Florida International University, the University of Arizona, the University of New Mexico, and the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
