Join us on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, to celebrate Japan Immersion Day. The event will be held in FIU's Green Library (GL) Room 100 and the classrooms located on the second floor of GC. It will feature various cultural activities and fun games to encourage students to learn more about Japan.

The workshops this year will include:

  • Calligraphy
  • Candy Sushi making
  • Chigirie (paper collage making)
  • Chopstick decoration & Hachimaki making
  • Kendo
  • Tea Ceremony
  • Sumie (Japanese brush painting)
  • Bracelet making & Origami
  • Kimono try-on
  • Video games
  • Workshops are subject to change.

Co-sponsored by the Asian Studies Program and the Department of Modern Languages.

A non-refundable fee of $15 includes Japanese lunch, supplies, and handouts.
