Join us as we examine the situation of Kashmir from the independence of India and Pakistan to the August 5, 2019, revocation of Kashmir’s special federal status, Article 370 of the Indian Constitution. Attention will be paid to discourses of territorial belonging, the role and inaction of the United Nations, human rights abuses, practices of rule and domination in India, and recent developments in geopolitics which further complicate human rights imperatives.
