Organizational research shows high-performing leaders possess advanced talents in leveraging key emotional intelligence skills. Generally, these individuals know how to tactfully avoid displays of frustration or anger, and they consistently and effectively manage their emotions when confronted with difficult people and situations. Effective leaders also play a critical role in directing and motivating others, promoting enthusiasm, and driving performance in the workplace.

Leaders adept in applying emotional intelligence skills validate the usefulness of this skillset in offering a rewarding pathway to leadership. For both aspiring and existing leaders, these skills are integral for making decisions, communicating and empathizing with others, overcoming workplace challenges, and maintaining resilience. For optimal effectiveness, however, it is important for individuals to hone their awareness and recognize how they impact others in interpersonal relationships. By learning action-oriented strategies and using dynamic resources, individuals can discover their leadership potential and successfully lead with emotional intelligence.

This program is designed for any person who wants to boost their overall performance and contribute to cultivating a wholesome, dynamic work environment and organizational culture. The program aims to lay the foundation for leading with emotional intelligence by providing you with knowledge and tools that enable and facilitate skill development. You’ll learn the characteristics of emotionally intelligent leaders, gain insights about the impact of leadership styles, review best practices, and discover methods for refining your leadership skills using competencies of emotional intelligence. In addition, you’ll engage in experiential learning exercises to improve your ability to implement the practices explored.
