The Lost Melody is a jazz trio comprised of old souls and lovers of melody. Pianist Joe Davidian (recent winner of the 2019 Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition), bassist Dr. Jamie Ousley & drummer Austin McMahon, each composers in their own right, come together to forge new melodies for those who crave hummable tunes.

The trio has been touring internationally since 2000 presenting concerts and giving masterclasses in places such as Ireland, Germany and Italy with a forthcoming tour of Japan in 2020. Stateside, they have since performed at numerous jazz festivals, universities, and top NYC jazz clubs, including Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, Mezzrow, and Kitano, and have held an annual residency at the Nashville Jazz Workshop since 2008, where they recorded two of their three albums: Live at the Jazz Cave: Vol. 1 (2013) Vol. 2 (2017) (see below).

The Lost Melody delivers highly creative, interactive, & engaging performances, while seeking to answer for themselves what remains from the past and what future sounds can be made through remembering?
