Join Mark Finlayson and FIU in Washington DC leadership, students, and partners during our Lunch & Learn Series. Mark will share his insights on using artificial intelligence to develop algorithms to detect misinformation in stories. He specializes in natural language processing, using computers to analyze the structure of narratives, such as plot patterns and characters, to identify recurring themes and uncover when stories are being used to spread misinformation.
