http://tinyurl.com/vettathompsonWe hope you can join us for the next installment of the FIU-RCMI Professional Development Seminar Series, “Community Engagement: Building Partnerships,” featuring Dr. Vetta Thompson, E. Desmond Lee Professor of Racial and Ethnic Studies and Associate Dean for Diversity, Inclusion & Equity at the Brown School, Washington University in St. Louis. In this two-day workshop, held on Thursday, March 12- Friday, March 13, Dr. Thompson will provide training on the fundamentals of community engagement required for community-based participatory research (CBPR), including identifying potential partners, developing frameworks for research collaborations, enacting partnership values, and building trust. The workshops will be held from 9:00am-5:00 pm in GC-150. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. If you would like to attend, please RSVP here by Monday, March 9th.
