This talk is jointly hosted under the graduate student seminar.

Abstact from Prof. Edward:

It is well known that the standard observability estimate for the wave equation is equivalent to exact controllability. In this talk, we introduce shape and velocity observability as a tool for proving the standard, "exact" observability. As application, we prove exact controllability for the wave equation on a quantum graph with cycle.
