The 2021 Miami International GuitART Festival presents innovative Brazilian guitarist/singer/composer Badi Assad in a solo concert, who is lauded as one of the world’s most unique and cross-transcendental performance artists of this generation.

Badi presents at her concert ‘Around the World in 80 Artists,’ a show based on the release of her first book of the same name. The show brings some of the stories about musicians from different parts of the world, including the ones Badi experienced in the many trips she made around 30 years of an international career.

Playing guitar and singing in different languages. Badi interprets songs of different styles and ethnicities, with a repertoire full of authorial compositions, collaborations, and unique musical reinterpretations. Among them: O Barco Daqui de Dentro (Badi Assad), Zoar (Badi Assad & Chico César/Brazil), Bachelorette (Bjork/Iceland), Believe it or Not (Lenine and Braulio Tavares/Brazil), Hunger of the Pine (Allt-J/England) and Lorde (New Zealand). All inspired by the content covered in her writing.
