Welcome Director’s Report – Dr. Agatha Caraballo (acarabal@fiu.edu) Committee Signups and Updates – 

The Fundraising committee strategizes on how to increase individual, corporate and foundation donations and apply for grants.  

The Communications committee prepares social media, advertising and public relations collateral for the Institute. 

The Academic Programs committee will assist in the development and implementation of the Certificate in Civic Leadership credentials and research related endeavors.

The Intermestic Programs committee will partner with internal and external partners on relevant programming (i.e. Puerto Rican Diaspora Studies) 

The Engagement Committee will focus on coordinating professional development, mentoring, and civic participation programs for students, alumni, and the public.
