Heartbreak, humor and self-discovery take center stage in Jilted: A New Musical, a contemporary story of love lost and resilience found.

Written by Irish playwright Lauryn Gaffney, the production follows Jill, an American photographer who moves to Ireland and is left at the altar. Through a mix of witty songs, emotional moments and friendship-fueled adventures, she rebuilds her life and sense of self. With numbers like “Red Flags,” “Little Shot in the Dark” and the ensemble piece “Jill’s Phone,” the show explores modern relationships, mental health and empowerment with honesty and warmth.

Jilted: A New Musical takes place Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, presented by FIU’s Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts.
